Volleyball is one of the most popular sports to play in the world. Two teams, separated by a high net, hit a ball back and forth over the net between the teams. Each team is allowed three hits to get the ball over the net to the other team. A point is scored if the ball hits the ground in the opponents' court, if the opponents commit a fault, or if they fail to return the ball properly. At international level, competitive teams are supposed to master six basic skills: serve, pass, set, spike, block and dig. Each of these skills consists of a number of specific techniques that have been introduced along the years and are now considered standard practice in high-level volleyball.

Volleyball can be a very active sport that can provide an excellent level of aerobic exercise. It also helps players in their hand-eye coordination and the ability to override the instinctive desire to dodge a fast-moving object such as a ball.

The Waverly Central High school Volleyball Team is a team that represents pride, power, and school spirit. To be a part of this wonderful activity you must have a GPA of "TBA". Being a part of this wonderful team shows prestige and character. Try-outs for next year's team will be held "TBA".
